Circulation
I have decided to place the building in a place that connects the round house, the square house, and the aquatic centre which is a highly centralised area for built environment students. This also allows students easy access from Anzac parade and surrounding facilities. Moreover, it is also situated near the UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre and near the Alumni Lawn, which could be considered as garden space for the new building.
NOTE: Will most likely change so that the squarehouse is connected to the roundhouse and the science and engineering building as i believe parts of the axis cuts through the trees.
Changes made after evaluation - 30/3/20
The new cross axis connects the roundhouse, square house and the science and engineering building together via the bridges in order to maximise its function for both engineering and built environment students and staff. In doing so, this makes all three buildings easier to access and more convenient.
